Midnight Seductress
<o>
</o>
The
midnight bells echo<o>
</o>
Within
my fraught mind. I<o>
</o>
Readily
close my eyes.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
The
rousing sounds of your<o>
</o>
Mighty
forever wings<o>
</o>
Fill
my poisoned senses.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Awaken
my desire<o>
</o>
With
your eyes of rogue blue<o>
</o>
And
your cold caresses.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Steal
my sanity, love,<o>
</o>
Using
your scarlet kiss,<o>
</o>
your
maddening whispers.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
I’d
give my life to you,<o>
</o>
I
would surrender all<o>
</o>
Just
to hold you again.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
My
midnight seductress.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
The
midnight bells echo.
My
tortured awaiting has come to its end.<o>
</o>
I
lay upon the rose-laden satin<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Within
my fraught mind, I
Hear
the bells’ dark hymn, her unholy cries,<o>
</o>
Taking
me into the endless shadows.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Readily
close my eyes,<o>
</o>
Love,
against their wicked lies and against<o>
</o>
Their
tempting promises. I am yours.<o>
</o>
I
am yours alone.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
The
rousing sounds of your
Sweet
beckoning guides me into the light,<o>
</o>
Where
you lay upon rose-laden satin.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Mighty
forever wings,
Cut
out by the gods from a dark night-sky,<o>
</o>
Are
soft as your silk skin beneath my touch.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Fill
my poisoned senses,<o>
</o>
Love,
as you pull me closer to you still.<o>
</o>
I
am powerless to resist your wiles.<o>
</o>
I’ve
no desire to.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Awaken
my desire
As
you murmur sweet nothings in my ear,<o>
</o>
As
you slowly, silently, disrobe me.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
With
your eyes of rogue blue,<o>
</o>
Spellbind
me; entrance me. Imprison me<o>
</o>
Within
the ice and the cobalt mist there.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
And
your cold caresses,
The
serpent’s dance, will slide over me, love.<o>
</o>
Your
woven onyx hair will tease my skin.<o>
</o>
You
will fulfill me.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Steal
my sanity, love,<o>
</o>
As
I lay beside you, one raven wing draped<o>
</o>
On
me. Your eyes gleam with untold secrets.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Using
your scarlet kiss,<o>
</o>
You
burn all the questions out of my mind.<o>
</o>
Then,
with a smile, you whisper your farewell.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
Your
maddening whispers
Resonate
inside me as I journey<o>
</o>
Through
the darkness, into reality.<o>
</o>
Without
you near me.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
I’d
give my life to you,<o>
</o>
If
it means that I would never have to<o>
</o>
Wake
up and leave you behind in my dream.<o>
</o>
<o>
</o>
I would
surrender all
If
it means that I would never have to<o>
</o>
Open
my eyes and let you disappear.<o>
</o>
<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
Just
to hold you again,<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
would yield my very soul, for without<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
You,
love, my soul would be empty, hollowed.<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
would be nothing.<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
live for you<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
breathe for you<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
go on for you<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
wait only for midnight<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
I
wait only for you<o[:p (Lick)]>
</o[:p (Lick)]>
My midnight seductress.

I'm somewhat satisfied with the poem. Sometimes, the way to know when you're done is when there's nothing left to write. Such was the case here.
I used Elsie Russell's painting in the image.
Edit: I must apologize greatly for this: Brushes from Anna Sea of [link]. I'm sorry, Anna. I wasn't paying attention.
Comments are welcome. Constructive criticism is, as well, this being just my third poem.
