Artist's Comments

Ishtar's Last Dance.

They say her eyes can enchant you into oblivion. They say that her hands trace the patterns of the universe, and that her smile tempts even the greatest gods.

And they say that Ishtar's dance is the last thing any being will want to see.

---------------------------------

This is, again, a collaboration of many things. . . brushes by Anna Sea , Annika Von Holdt, and Sarah; photographs by Mr. Jones, Mr. Triffo, and myself; and a digitally airbrushed painting of a woman entirely based on a photo by Joris van Daele (and some of the minute details are directly taken from the photo, as my skills in airbrushing are doubtful).

A flight of fancy that began while waiting for my research paper to print, and later evolved into my first piece in almost a month.

Inspired by the musings of a belletrist.

Full view is a must.
Enjoy.

Very nice! :) (Smile)
I really like the background, the colors and photos that you used! I only think that Ishtar could look a little more spectaculair. I'm not quite shure how you should do that. But altogether it looks really nice! :) (Smile)

I love the way each element of the image complements each other. Truly, an artist at work. ;) (Wink)

Very beautiful composition indeed, not to mention an amazing choice of colours. Those whites and blues combine very well with the slight touch of gold to bring out the essence of the piece and really bring focus to the beauty of Ishtar. Her pose with her arms reaching for the sky is both very sensual and elegent as well as powerful in a way because of the lightning flowing towards her hands. I really like what you did with the background too. The big crashing waves create a seamless blend between the sky and the water basin belong, giving the whole a very smooth transition +favlove
